A Big Puddle

Freya was desperate to get a beanie.  A beanie with a pom pom.  We were going to lunch and I wanted to do some grocery shopping afterwards so we parked at one end of the shops, walked to the other end, bought the beanie and then walked over to the restaurant.

A lovely lunch was had with friends.  I thought I wouldn't need the spare shirt I packed for Eli after we made it out of the restaurant unscathed.  How wrong was I!  It turns out that I should have packed two.  But sometimes, even when you just KNOW that it's not going to end well it's still hard to resist letting them have a bit of fun.  Especially after the awful weather we have had this week.

So this is how I came to have one child in a nappy only, and my other child in long sleeves and a beanie!  And I had to traipse from one end of the shopping centre to the other to get to the car with them like this.  Groceries were not bought.  It's days like this that I thank my lucky stars that I still carry my Ergo around with me so Eli was not quite so obvious.  We must have looked such a sight!

And it all makes me laugh and laugh!

  1. What a story! He must have been freezing! I'm glad you had a sense of humour (and got some great photos!) out of it. Love the beanie Freya!
