Hallway Antics

This was one of those 'I don't want to have a bath' tussles with Freya.  Eli wanted to just keep pushing the babydoll pram around.   Twenty odd minutes later came the predictable cry of 'I don't want to hop out'! 

It's also worth noting that Freya is wearing Eli's swimming shorts!  She went to work with Kev for the day and when she needed a change of clothes the shorts were the only thing he had in the car! 

A 'crick neck'

Today Eli started walking around with his head tilted to the side.  A trip to the doctor confirmed that it was simply a 'crick neck' which should resolve itself quickly.  But really, what toddler gets a 'crick neck'?  I have to admit though that he looked really quite comical with it all day! Poor boy!

Raggs

When I saw that Raggs was performing at Brookside for the school holidays I knew that I had to take the children along.  Raggs was Freya's first ever favourite show.  From the time she could stand holding onto something as a baby she would hold onto the television cabinet and bop away to Raggs.

Our friends Toby & Mel came along and whilst Toby and Freya were a little slow to get right into the show Eli was bopping and applauding from the get go.  By the end they were all having a lovely time and this was topped off by donuts and a run around the stage after the show. 

Toby made Freya's day by kindly giving her a token to collect a free Raggs DVD.  Freya told me over and over how very nice it was of Toby to give it to her and after the lady at the service desk gave it to Freya she declared that it was 'the best day of her life!'

Far Out Forest Festival

We went to the Far Out Forest Festival at the Botanic Gardens and had an absolutely fantastic time.  The children took part in some African drumming, they looked for bugs in the gardens, had fun crossing the stepping stones across the pond, and examined some worms in the worm farm.  We looked at an artwork on display in some of the trees at the front of the gardens and on our way home we had a little bit of an extra adventure when we ended up on the wrong bus! 

A visit with Grannie

We were a day late but today we went to visit Grannie for her Birthday.  Uncle Kenny, Aunty Priya and cousin Abby came too.  I tried to get a 'nice' photo of Grannie with the kids but Eli had other ideas!  Eli was however very impressed with the jar of jelly beans that can always be found at Grannie's house.  The other great thing about Grannie's house is that she lives at Bribie so it was a perfect opportunity for a little trip to the beach afterwards.

Icecream

We had to drop Uncle Kenny to work today and we had some time to fill in between then and a playdate that we had organised with one of Freya's good friends from kindy.  So we decided to stop off at Chermside and headed to a favourite coffee shop where Freya & Eli practiced their very best sharing with a cup of icecream.

Walkabout Creek

Well the story of this day can actually be found here but I had to add some of my favourite photos to their own blog.  I just love the hobo look Freya still has going!  It's also always nice to get a photo of me with my two beautiful kids!
